PDRN Injections: What to Know Before Booking

Rejuran is a polynucleotide skin booster, often discussed alongside PDRN injections. Published clinic schedules, prices and recovery estimates vary, while research remains limited. This guide separates treatment claims from study findings; it is not medical advice.

In brief

  • Genesys Laser Skin Clinic identifies Rejuran Healer's main ingredient as PN, not PDRN.
  • A systematic review found promising results in studies of low and moderate quality.
  • Published prices cover different quantities, areas and packages—not equivalent treatments.
  • Clinic recovery estimates differ; bruising may outlast raised injection bumps.
  • UMI Clinic and Doctor Medica state that Rejuran is not FDA-approved in the United States.

What PDRN injections are

PDRN injections and Rejuran are related terms, but they do not identify the same ingredient in every listing. Genesys Laser Skin Clinic identifies polynucleotide, or PN, as Rejuran Healer's main ingredient and PDRN as the main ingredient of its described salmon injection. A scientific review says interchangeable use of PDRN and PN has caused confusion. Our PDRN versus polynucleotides guide examines that distinction.

Rejuran is described as a salmon-DNA-derived injectable, not simply a facial serum delivered differently. Science Beauty, an independent London booking platform, describes it as a Korean injectable containing salmon-derived polynucleotides. Onlif Clinic calls it a skin booster injected into the dermis and describes it as a skin texture treatment rather than a filler. Those descriptions identify the intended treatment category; they do not establish its effectiveness.

The phrase “salmon sperm injection” does not tell you which formulation a clinic uses. Genesys Laser Skin Clinic and Science Beauty identify salmon-derived DNA or polynucleotides, while Science Beauty distinguishes Rejuran HB, which combines PN with hyaluronic acid, Rejuran I for the eye area, and Rejuran S for scars and texture concerns. Ask for the exact product rather than relying on a social-media nickname.

What a session involves

A session commonly involves numbing cream followed by multiple small injections, according to Science Beauty. The platform describes topical anesthetic applied for 20–30 minutes, followed by fine-needle micro-injections across the target area using a nappage technique. It lists a procedure time of 30–60 minutes. Onlif Clinic describes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour including anesthetic cream, so ask what the appointment duration includes.

The number and spacing of sessions differ between providers. Science Beauty says most patients require three sessions spaced two to four weeks apart, followed by maintenance every six to twelve months. Dr L’Art London Clinic lists 1–3 treatments as needed. UMI Clinic recommends one initial session for first-time patients, subject to consultation. These are provider schedules, not a settled research-backed protocol.

Rejuran microneedling is a different delivery procedure from intradermal injection. Retailer Medica Depot describes it as topical polynucleotides applied alongside microneedling and states that no head-to-head clinical studies compare it with Rejuran injections. A clinic should identify which procedure it is quoting. Equivalent results between these approaches are not established, nor is a topical product established as a substitute for an injectable formulation.

Published cost ranges

PDRN injection cost depends on the named product, quantity, treatment area and package; these listings are not equivalent quotes. All sources below were checked in October 2026. For London, United Kingdom, booking platform Science Beauty lists standard full-face Rejuran Healer or HB at £350–£650 per session, under-eye Rejuran I at £250–£350, and premium or Harley Street specialist sessions at £900–£1,200. These are platform estimates, not a personalized clinic quote.

London clinic prices also distinguish syringe quantities. Dr L’Art London Clinic, United Kingdom, lists one syringe for the face at £380 and one syringe for the eyes at £380. It lists full-face treatment using 2 syringes at £660 and full-face plus eyes using 3 syringes at £990, requiring those syringes to be used in the same session. Science Beauty separately lists a course of 3 sessions at £900–£1,700 and maintenance at £250–£350.

Korean price sources report substantially different treatment ranges, without establishing matching package contents. Korea Clinic Guide reports Rejuran Healer treatment in Korea at 1,100,000 to 1,600,000 KRW and says pricing may include multiple sessions. UMI Clinic in Korea lists a single session at approximately 300,000 to 400,000 KRW and a two-session course at 550,000 to 750,000 KRW. UMI says its prices depend on the treatment plan and current exchange rates.

Published US prices should not be read as evidence of regulatory approval or availability at a particular clinic. Korea Clinic Guide reports a typical US Rejuran Healer treatment price of $250 to $600 USD. For its Korean packages, the guide says consultation, numbing cream and follow-up care are typically included, while travel and accommodation are not. UMI Clinic says its base price excludes additional skin boosters and combination treatments. Request a written, itemized quote.

What the evidence supports

Polynucleotide injections have promising human findings, but the evidence is not yet strong enough to settle effectiveness or the optimal treatment protocol. The systematic review “The Effectiveness of Polynucleotides in Esthetic Medicine” included studies of low and moderate quality covering 219 patients. It reported improvements in wrinkles, texture and elasticity, with statistically significant findings in several studies. Injection areas and techniques varied, and the authors called for rigorous, high-quality research.

A small human study described by Smart Skin Clinic cannot establish the effect of Rejuran Healer alone. Its excerpt concerns 20 women receiving a PN-containing preparation in a split-face study, with saline on the comparison side. Both sides subsequently received cross-linked hyaluronic acid. That treatment sequence matters when interpreting the findings: it is not a straightforward comparison of a standalone Rejuran course against no treatment.

Clinic explanations of collagen stimulation remain distinct from demonstrated patient outcomes. UMI Clinic claims Rejuran's PN technology stimulates fibroblast activity and collagen production; Genesys Laser Skin Clinic claims increased dermal thickness and density. Those claims are not independent trial findings. Matching effects across lab or animal work, injections and topical skincare are not established here. Our research guide keeps those evidence categories separate.

Risks and downtime

Visible recovery can last longer than a clinic's headline downtime estimate. Science Beauty says minor redness or small papules typically resolve within 24–48 hours. Genesys Laser Skin Clinic describes redness, bruising and temporary swelling for about 1 week. Onlif Clinic says bruising commonly lasts 3 to 7 days and can persist up to 2 weeks in severe cases. These are source estimates, not fixed recovery windows.

Allergy, infection and injection-related complications deserve a discussion before treatment. Smart Skin Clinic warns about allergy and infection and says people with fish allergies may be unable to undergo Rejuran treatment. Medica Depot says incorrect injection depth or volume can cause nodules, the Tyndall effect or prolonged edema. Discuss your history and eligibility with a board-certified dermatologist or licensed injector; our side-effects guide provides further context.

Aftercare instructions differ between providers, so obtain guidance from the clinician treating you. Smart Skin Clinic permits same-day cleansing and makeup after 24 hours; Onlif Clinic says washing and makeup are typically allowed after 12 to 24 hours, subject to clinic guidance. Smart Skin Clinic advises clinical assessment if swelling and pain intensify. Onlif Clinic advises patients not to stop aspirin or anticoagulants on their own.

Availability and US regulation

UMI Clinic and Doctor Medica state that Rejuran is not FDA-approved in the United States. UMI Clinic specifically identifies Rejuran Healer, while retailer Doctor Medica refers to Rejuran. Doctor Medica also states that it is approved by the Korean FDA and CE-certified. Those are the retailer's statements; independent regulatory documentation is not included in the references for this page.

A conflicting retailer claim should not be used to label injections approved or routinely off-label. Medica Depot claims Rejuran is FDA-approved only for topical use and that injection use is off-label, but that approval claim is not substantiated here. Ask a board-certified dermatologist or licensed injector to explain the exact product's regulatory status. A treatment listing, overseas approval claim or published US price does not resolve that question.

Questions to ask a clinic

Start by asking what will actually be injected and who will administer it. Is the product Rejuran Healer, Rejuran I, Rejuran HB, Rejuran S or another formulation? Is its ingredient described as PN or PDRN? Ask a licensed injector to explain the selection and regulatory status. Science Beauty's descriptions distinguish formulations by ingredient combination or treatment area, so the name matters.

Ask for a written plan covering quantity, sessions, cost and recovery rather than a single headline price. How many syringes and which areas does the quote cover? Are consultation, numbing and follow-up included? What happens if swelling or pain worsens? Discuss fish allergies, medications, pregnancy and skin conditions with a board-certified dermatologist or licensed injector; suitability for your individual circumstances is not established by this page.

Questions readers ask

Are PDRN injections the same as Rejuran?

Not necessarily. Genesys Laser Skin Clinic identifies PN as the main ingredient of Rejuran Healer and PDRN as the main ingredient of salmon injection. A scientific review says interchangeable use of PDRN and PN has caused confusion. Ask the clinic for the exact product and formulation rather than treating the terms as interchangeable.

How much do Rejuran injections cost?

Science Beauty lists standard full-face Rejuran Healer or HB in London, United Kingdom, at £350–£650 per session. UMI Clinic in Korea lists a single Rejuran Healer session at approximately 300,000 to 400,000 KRW. Both sources were checked in October 2026. These are different providers and treatment listings, not equivalent quotes.

How many Rejuran sessions do you need?

Providers give different schedules. Science Beauty says most patients require three sessions spaced two to four weeks apart. Dr L’Art London Clinic lists 1–3 treatments as needed, while UMI Clinic recommends one initial session subject to assessment. A systematic review found limited consensus on optimal PN use; discuss a plan with a licensed injector.

How long do Rejuran bumps and bruising last?

Onlif Clinic lists raised injection bumps lasting several hours to 1–3 days and bruising commonly lasting 3 to 7 days, or up to 2 weeks in severe cases. Recovery varies. Smart Skin Clinic advises clinical assessment if swelling and pain intensify rather than settle, because that could indicate infection.

Is Rejuran FDA-approved in the US?

UMI Clinic states that Rejuran Healer is not FDA-approved in the United States, and Doctor Medica also reports no FDA approval for Rejuran. Medica Depot makes a conflicting topical-approval claim that is not substantiated here. Ask a board-certified dermatologist or licensed injector about the exact injectable product's regulatory status.
